Blogging in the Clouds

If you know what you’re doing, having an online presence can be pretty low-maintenance; and blogging is a really good way to nurture your online identity.

Facebook, MySpace, and most other social networks, provide users with a personal blog page. Or, you can create one from scratch using Blogger, WordPress or a number of other free services. They’re very easy to set up and cost nothing.

The best is, you can update your blog instantly using a mobile phone. Today, my favorite service that allows me to do this is Utterz (tomorrow, who knows?). When I see something cool I can take a photo and email it to Utterz with text. There I have it set up to post automatically to three locations – Facebook, Twitter and here.

My images, ideas and thoughts aren’t lost in the day, and I am able to nurture my online identity without it being a big production.

I could literally go months without turning on a computer and still have a current blog. So great.
